The AcPET system is a platform technology that easily lends itself to the rapid production of numerous types of commercially valuable protein-based products. Such products include both diagnostics and therapeutics for numerous diseases, applicable to both humans and animals. Other applications include the specialized protein components for vaccines for a broad range of conditions in humans, companion animals, and livestock, as well as specialized proteins for treatments of crop plants to eliminate harmful insect pests. Other applications include proteins for use in industry where enzyme efficiency can be improved, thereby increasing overall productivity and lowering costs. Each of these examples are arenas where the AcPET system can generate products at a much faster and more cost effective pace than current methods.
